The Old Home Day Committee established a scholarship program in 2007 based on strengthening the involvement of our citizens in community service. For nearly 100 years the Old Home Day celebration has been a testament to the dedication of individuals who volunteer their time and effort to this unique community event. The scholarship program consists of two categories of grants:

    o  Two $1,500.00 scholarships for Carlisle residents graduating from an area High School will be awarded in 2008

    o  $500.00 (total) in grant money for Carlisle residents wishing to pursue Adult/Continuing education

Scholarships for Graduating High School Students

These scholarships are intended to reward those individuals who are committed to personal betterment through education. The selection process focuses on students who have demonstrated a keen view of community awareness and involvement. This application is for graduating area high school students who have applied or intend to apply to an accredited college or a recognized vocational technical school within 180 days of scholarship award. The applicant must be a resident of Carlisle, MA at the time of scholarship application. The final award will be made directly to the institution selected by the recipient. Adult/Continuing Education Grant

This application is for a Carlisle resident wishing to pursue Adult/Continuing Education. Applications will be accepted throughout the year as long as funds are available. Final awards will be made directly by the OHD Association to the continuing education institution selected by the recipient. The recipient will have 180 days from the award date to enroll in a course.
